Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB is a joint venture between October 1, 2001 by the Japanese Consumer Electronics Company Sony Corporation and the Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson to make mobile phones. The reason this company is combining the expertise of Sony consumer electronics with Ericsson's technological knowledge in the field of communications.
