LG Corporation

LG Corp., the founder Koo In-Hwoi established Lak Hui Chemical Industrial Corp., 1947.In 1952, Lak-Hui (pronounced "Lucky", is currently LG Chem) became the first Korean company to enter the plastics industry . As the company expanded its business plastic, was founded GoldStar Co., Ltd. (currently LG Electronics Inc.) in 1958. Both companies, and Lucky Goldstar merged and formed LG.Goldstar produced by South Korea's first radio Consumer many were sold under the brand name GoldStar, while some other household products (not available outside of Korea South) were sold under the brand name of Lucky. Lucky Brand was famous line of hygiene products such as soaps and laundry detergents HiTi, but most associated with its Lucky Toothpaste and Perio.

In 1995, to better compete in Western markets, the company name to "LG", the abbreviation of "Lucky Goldstar". Recently, the company combines the letters with the slogan "Life is good" from LG, this phrase came from Australia, where many of the products are tested prior to the LG. Since 2009, LG has also LG.com domain name.
